I'm using KDE 4.6 on Arch, and thought I'd try out the "windows can cover" feature for one of the panels. For some reason the panle is still displaying over the top of the window? Exactly what am I doing wrong?

Update: it does work to a point, but if I put a widget on it and then use the widget, the window ceases to cover the panel.

Does this apply to any widget or to only specific widgets? Some widgets may have bugs which cause this to occur.

So far I've only tried the classic style menu launcher. I'll check out a few others and get back to you. |

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, it's only certain widgets. So far the only widget I've found is the classic launcher, but it seems to happens with most app icons.

Please file bugs at bugs.kde.org for each widget you find which doesn't work.
