Smooth scrolling in whole KDE

For some reason kde 4 does not have the same functionality anymore. There was a guy working on smooth scrolling for kde 4.6 but it did not get implemented. I personally believe that it would be a major usability boost, besides looking 100% cool. Those who don't like it should have the option to disable it though (in kde 3.4 you had to modify $HOME/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals and add a line: SmoothScrolling=false ). I really want to see this feature implemented, and so do many others.
