Hi,

I have a problem using a theme I created, using topbar feature.

The bar is supposed to be displayed at x=0,y=0 ; but instead it is displayed at x=0,y=24.

I had a look at ~/.superkaramba/my_theme.rc and indeed, I can read :
widgetPosY=24

I replaced manually 24 by 0 in this file, restart Superkaramba and... same issue is back. And widgetPosY back to value 24 as well.

Is there already a (invisible) top bar there... ?

btw, 24 is the exact height of my theme.

Of course, I can use my theme without the topbar attribute, and in this case the theme is well positionned at y=0. But it is not convenient because as soon as I maximize any window, its top is hidden behind my Superkaramba theme. Not what I expect.

I have to add that :
- I am using this theme for years and so I am pretty sure that it is working fine. Just it changed since I upgraded to KDE 4.4.4 r3.
- I also use Compiz 0.8.6 (maybe this has any side effects...) ; I tried many settings (in workaround or windows rules) with no probing results.

Now, the only way I did not explore is Plasma things. I am a pure newbie in Plasma. And surely I should think about replace my Superkaramba theme by a clean Plasma widget. But I have not time yet to dive into Widget dev on Plasma. Anyway.

Any idea ?

Does the topBar attribute have a value set on it? Do you have a Plasma panel at the top of your screen?

Also, do be aware that KDE 4.4 is quite old, given that KDE 4.6 has been released.

I do not think that there is any Plasma panel there.
For instance my main bar is on the right side on screen.
So AFAIK there is no plasma things on top of my screen.

Then, regarding my superkaramba theme :
karamba x=0 y=0 w=1890 h=24 ontop=true locked=true topbar=true

As I said, I am using it for years without any problem.

But maybe I should think about upgrading to KDE 4.6...

It is probable that Superkaramba hasn't changed. If you shrink the width of the Superkaramba theme, so that the cashew isn't overlaid, does it work then?
