(Using KDE 4.6.2)
When configuring power management settings, there is an option to lock screen on resume. I would like to have it lock the screen on resume from hibernate, but not from suspend/sleep. Is this possible? It doesn't look like it is.

Unfortunately it is not as you suspected, as both are handled and treated as the same type of resume at this point in time.

I kinda figured that was the case.
Is there a way to replace the hibernate action with a shell script, then? I could probably get the functionality I want that way. EDIT: I was able to do so by creating /etc/pm/sleep.d/95lock like so:
It's kind of hacky since I'm guessing it won't work if I'm not the one logged into my laptop. My wife is the only other one that would be, though, so it shouldn't be that much of a problem. |
