Hi guys, ever since I installed Banshee (one thing I miss about gnome) player I lost all the KDE notification popup goodness. I get just the plain (and ugly) Gnome ones.

Is there a way to get them back?

Can you please provide a screenshot? I'm guessing that some GNOME process has taken over org.freedesktop.Notifications which is easily rectified.

First, look for a process similar to "gnotify" or something equivalent, and kill it. This should cause org.freedesktop.Notifications to disappear. Then run "knotify4 &" and KDE Notifications should be restored.

In addition, I recommend filing a bug report with your distribution, as it seems that GNOME is being installed in an manner which does not permit proper integration with KDE.
