Is there a kde equivalent to the places menu found in gnome2? I looked for widgets to do this, but I have found none that replicate the functionality of showing the same bookmarks as found in dolphin.
I found one that was similiar, "Places menu .1" but it does not work.

Lancelot may have the functionality you desire.

You can use the shelf widget (this comes with lancelot if your distribution packages it separately), and add the "places", "removable devices", and "fixed devices" categories (or some subset depending on your needs).

Which version of KDE are you running? I am using the places menu widget just fine myself.

It looks like the shelf widget has what I need. Thanks.
