Activity without a close option

Thu Jun 23, 2011 12:24 am
I recently loaded the kde plasma desktop to use in ubuntu 11.04 and have been loving it. I started to play around with activities but have hit a problem. I created a new folder view activity and now have no way to close it or remove it. the little x in the activities icon doesn't appear. If I create new activities I can close them but not the original one I created. I am now 'trapped' in my activity and can't get back to my desktop. I have been searching forums but can't find an answer to this problem. any help would be greatly appreciated!

First you need to switch back to your original desktop, which is itself an activity. Then you will be able to stop the newly created activity and delete it.

Thankyou for responding. I am trying to get back to my original desktop but I don't know how. There is only one activity icon which is the one I'm stuck in. If I press ctrl f11 I can "see" my orginal desktop behind the activity (which is just an empty folder view desktop) but can't get to it. Does this mean my orginal desktop is actually part of the Activity? If so how can I get out of the folder view and back to the desktop? thanks
