Hello,
This is my problem, maybe there is an easy way to solve it: When I login, I get an application starting (automatic login to a cloud account). But if I arrive on another desktop, the application is waiting until I go to that one to really start. Is is possible the application continues even if I start on another desktop? Thank you in advance for your help, Zorggy. |

2 thoughts:
1) have the application available on all desktops (right click title bar -> to desktop -> all desktops) 2) have the application automatically start using autostart in systemsettings |

Hello google01103,
What a fast reply! I had to check settings and I realized I have the problem at work (Fedora 14) but not at home (Fedora 15 with KDE 4.6.3): At home I can force the starting application to be in the desktop #1 then the opening desktop will always be #1 even if I logged out from another one. So the application is normally starting. Is there a way to force login in on desktop #2, whatever was the desktop while logged out last time? I could then check whether there is a problem or not... |

what happens is you hibernate (suspend to disk), instead of logging out?
no idea about forcing 1st desktop to not be #1, as far as I can tell desktops are run in numerical order - you could consider a new thread with the title "can I force 1st desktop loaded not no be desktop #1 when logging in" |

Well, finally that's not so important.
We decided, at work, not to use KDE (distro based on RHEL) because of several little problems such this one. As this forum seems reactive, I'm going to get precise questions and see whether they can be solved here. Thanks for your reply, Bill. I'm going to close this thread. |
