I have opensuse 11.4 with KDE 4. I set desktop as folder view to get it as normal desktop (like in windows).

Problem is, 2 or 3 weeks after setup, desktop changes behavior. On right side appears strange scrollbar, and all icons are gone. What the hell? How to revert as it was? Additionally, kde menu appears in half of screen.

I got same issue 3 weeks ago. I fixed it by deleting whole .kde4 dir and setting everything up again.

Whats wrong? Do i have always wipe out all kde settings over 3 weeks?

First, you shouldn't delete .kde4. It's not a recommended way to fix things because often the real cause of the problem can't be found. Secondly, would you be able to provide a screenshot of the issue?
