Hi,

I've had Konqueror and KDE on Windows for a few months now (mainly for testing purposes) and I've recently started using Dolphin as well.

Currently, one of the problems I'm having is that if I type in something like "C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office12/WINWORD.EXE" it won't work; I get the error message at the bottom
The file or folder C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office12/WINWORD.EXE does not exist.

Although this may not seem like a problem, it is when I try to setup file associations; if I enter the above filename as a default program in File Associations with double-quotes (as without quotes doesn't work - I get the error "'C:/Program' not found, please type a valid program name.") I get the error
'C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office12/WINWORD.EXE' not found, please type a valid program name.

Am I doing anything wrong? I understand that KDE for Windows is still under development, so I won't be undeterred using KDE in the future if this doesn't work. ;)

Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Andrew.

EDIT: If it helps, when I go to C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office12/WINWORD.EXE it adds a slash at the end in Dolphin but it works fine in Konqueror. This goes the same for putting any filename in the address bar.

Should I post a bug report, since this does seem to be some kind of inconsistency in KDE for Windows?

Something like "Inconsistencies in address handling (Windows)"?

EDIT: I have reported this bug: KDE Address Bar Inconsistencies (Windows)

If you enter the path as "/C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office12/WINWORD.EXE" does that work?

No, not in Konqueror, Dolphin or File Associations, unfortunately.
