To download and ultimately change the language I use a kde-l10n ... package
Is there a similar code / clue for the package name to yum install a foreign keyboard package only ?

You should be able to use System Settings under KDE to make this change.

Thanks for the reply . . . I had thought that would be it, but in Fedora 15 KDE as an install from Live iso
it may already have you set your keyboard, and the choice is not then there at least as far as I could tell . . .
the other keyboard settings - hot keys etc. - and the settings for several input devices mouse, game controller, etc. -
but not any foreign keyboard choices.

so . . .
I went into /etc/sysconfig and opened the keyboard file with vi editor and changed
KEYTABLE= and LAYOUT= from us . . . foreign code I needed I found in a google search.

Code: Select all
KEYTABLE="is"
MODEL="pc105+inet"
LAYOUT="is"

Now when I boot up it is in the foreign keyboard.
