Hi everyone,
I've updated KDE to 4.7 version yesterday. I run Arch Linux 64bit. With this version, everytime I shutdown, restart, log out or disable nepomuk, nepomuk chrashes... I want to send a bugreport, but can't because it tells me that is useless. So, what have I to do? It's very annoying... Thanks... |

In order to send a bug report, you need to have debugging symbols enabled and installed on your system.
Which Nepomuk process crashes?

I've gdb. Isn't it enough? I don't know. Where can I take this information? However, after disabling nepomuk from system settings, chrash report tells me executable: nepomukservicestub PID: 29719 Signal: segmentation fault (11) Backtrace:

I do not experience crashes, but endless trouble with cpu usage and nepomuk does not stop cleanly on logout.

According to a comment to http://dot.kde.org/2011/09/07/kde-ships ... er-updates it should be better in 4.7.1 (might crash once), have you upgraded yet?
For me it seems to be running quite good on 4.7.1 so far (I also experienced crashes in 4.7.0).

gdb is not sufficient. Most distributions (yours seems to be included) strip debugging symbols needed by gdb to provide full backtraces from the binaries, placing them in seperate packages. This is done to reduce the size of binaries on your system.
Unfortunately, the backtraces you have posted are incomplete, which means they are not as useful to a developer.
