Bouncing cursor

Sat Oct 01, 2011 9:20 am
I am using Kubuntu 10.4 with the 'bouncing cursor' option. In addition to bouncing it leaves behind itself a sort of smeared trail - is it possible to have the bounce but not the trail, please?

That doesn't sound like something intentional but rather an issues with e.g. the graphic drivers. Can you please tell us more about your hardware?

Hmmmm. What information would be helpful? The motherboard is an Intel desktop board (type?) N232 (serial number?) E210882 and the monitor (LG Studioworks 710S) plugs directly onto the motherboard - there is no video card. I have 512Mb of memory (2x256Mb DDR400) and from the startup screens :
Processor type : Intel Pentium 4
Processor speed : 2.8 GHz
System bus speed : 533 MHz
System memory speed : 333MHz
AGP aperture size : 64Mb
Frame buffer size : 16Mb

- and I operate with two hard drives, a SATA drive which holds the operating system software (Kubuntu 10.4), and a separate hard drive which holds all data files (to facilitate backup).

Is that helpful?
