One Update I Can Not Find!

Tue Oct 04, 2011 10:46 pm
Hello

Notifications tells me for the past week or so that I have one update on my KDE 4.6.5. Here is a sampling from the broadcast log.
- KNotify Tue Oct 4 10:05:14 2011: There is 1 update available.
- KNotify Tue Oct 4 10:25:39 2011: There is 1 update available.
- KNotify Tue Oct 4 11:25:37 2011: There is 1 update available.
- KNotify Tue Oct 4 12:25:50 2011: There is 1 update available.
- KNotify Tue Oct 4 13:25:37 2011: There is 1 update available.
- KNotify Tue Oct 4 17:53:39 2011: There is 1 update available.

I have gone through apt-get, aptitude and synaptic and with the exception of 34 xserver updates that would cripple my ATI system as reported on the forum, I can not find the update.

My Debian testing must have downloaded at least 40 - 80 updates since this message started showing but it still keeps showing.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Are you using apper/kpackagekit?

Which program do you use for updating your distribution? It looks like a bug in the specific program, rather than in KDE.

Mint uses a program called MintUpdate. It is a front end to aptitude. I think.

I have used all the base Debian update apps apt-get, aptitude and the GUI Synaptic. None report this update.

I appreciate your help.
