Krename crash on invocation

Sun Oct 16, 2011 7:07 pm
Running Ubuntu 11.10 with KDE Plasma. Invoking krename like so:

mannex@leviathan:~$ krename
Segmentation fault
mannex@leviathan:~$

Doesn't look good. Any ideas?

delete/rename the rc file ~/.kde/share/config/krenamerc

test as a different user

update: run in Konsole, are there additional error messages

How did you install the application? Try to reinstall it.

Bug report:

Potentail fix:

Looks like we need to wait for version 4.0.7-2.

Yes, it appears to be a known bug. There is no krename file in the .kde/share folder. I did run it from Konsole, and I posted everything it displayed. And yes, I did a complete remove, reinstall. Guess I'll have to find something else to use. Sorry.
