Hello,
I have some problems with keyboard layout switching. I am running KDE 4.7.3 on Arch Linux. The problem appeared after my last system update. The settings: I have two keyboard layouts: English (US) and Bulgarian. Main shortcuts and 3rd level shortcuts are set to None. Alternative shortcut is set to <ctrl>-<alt>-K (default setting). Switching policy is Global. layout settings The problem: 1. When I press <ctrl>-<alt>-K nothing happens. 2. If I right click the layout icon after I've tried to change the layout with the shortcut key, the context menu looks a little buggy: it displays the following options: us - English (US) -- - (group separator) bg - Bulgarian (group separator) Configure... ![]() 3. If i click the bg - Bulgarian it rights itself: ![]() 4. If the layout is bg and I use the shortcut key the layout changes to us, but the context menu is again bugged. 5. As long as the context menu is OK (if I haven't used the shortcut key), I can change the layout normally with left click, but if it's bugged I can't. The only way to change the layout then is by right clicking the layout icon and selecting bg. Again: the problem didn't exist before (I don't know what the version was then). I would appreciate your help. |

I forgot to add that I can walk around this problem by setting change layout shortcut key from the advanced menu. I wouldn't like to use this method because it has a side effect: when the layout is Bulgarian the shortcut keys in the applications wouldn't work.
