Hello
I'd like to fine tune some preferences regarding my KDE Workspace. Basically, I'm only interested in kwin and krunner - nothing else. With some voodoo hackery, I've been using only those components for several years now, so I know it works. I'd just like to do it "properly" now. Is there a way to properly ensure that "plasma-desktop" does NOT get started when logging into a KDE session? This is also true for all the other k* modules that get started (e.g. knotify, kcminit, etc). I understand if some of these are necessary for other components to run, but I'd like to eliminate all the unnecessary ones. I've looked at /usr/bin/startkde, but couldn't find where plasma-desktop gets started. If I simply delete /usr/bin/plasma-desktop, it achieves what I want, but I get too many warnings. If someone knows how to achieve this (without getting all kinds of warnings and notifications, which is what I'm currently seeing), then please let me know. I'd be more than happy to RTFM if someone could point me to TFM. Thanks |

I believe what you are looking for is in systemsettings -> Startup and Shutdown.
