I've taken to using Blackbox as my KDE window manager (via 'export KDEWM="/usr/bin/blackbox"'. It is faster than Openbox and less buggy than Fluxbox (and ludicrously faster than KWin). So far I'm pretty happy.
But I've noticed that, if I kill Blackbox, KDE does not restart it (which would be useful if Blackbox crashed for some reason). This isn't a big deal because Blackbox is very simple and barely ever crashes. But I'd still like to know... Is this a KDE bug, or is there something about Blackbox that prevents KDE from being able to restart it, as it would KWin or Openbox? |
