I want to add a new item to KDE menu. I start kmenuedit, add a new item, press save, 'updating system configuration' progress bar pops up and dissappears and in kmenuedit interface it looks like a new item has been added BUT it doesn't show in the main KDE menu and when I restart kmenueditor it is gone here too. There are no errors in the console window where kmenuedit was started, ~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu file is updated with
<Filename>newprog.desktop</Filename> in <Include> and <Layout> sections and ~/.local/share/applications/newprog.desktop file is created. Even worse, I tried to change the exsiting menu entry and now it gone from the menu too. Some time ago menu editing worked. Tried logging off and rebooting. Any ideas? lvm@server:~/.config/menus$ kmenuedit --version Qt: 4.7.4 KDE Development Platform: 4.7.2 (4.7.2) KDE Menu Editor: 0.8 |
