Plasma Desktop Shell Crashes On Shutdown Or Logging Out

When logging out and/or shutting down the KDE Plasma Desktop Shell crashes with the following error dialog window:

We are sorry. Plasma desktop shell closed unexpectedly.

Details:

Executable: kdeinit4 PID: 1580
Signal: Sebmentation Fault (11)

This happens most of the time that I shutdown or logout but not every time; Probably 90% of the time it happens.

I'm currently running KDE 4.7.2 on a brand new install of OpenSUSE 12.1, however, I saw this on OpenSuse 11.4 as well.

Is anybody else seeing this? Is this a bug? Any recommendations on how to fix it?

Thanks,

Gordon

I had this also with plasma-workspace-4.7.3.
Since I upgraded to 4.7.3-r7 it's gone.
How you do that in your distro I don't know.

Thanks Gerard. I will investigate how to upgrade to 4.7.3-r7. Is this a known bug?

Well I read about it in several forums.
I didn't check kde's bugsite though.
