Changing Default Configuration

Thu Dec 22, 2011 1:32 pm
I am trying to make a custom live CD for a friend but I'm trying to make a more 'clean' default for when they first start up.

The problem is, I have no idea how to change the default.
My assumption is that I'd just edit the root account, but I don't want to try that unless it's correct. :|

If it helps, I am using archbang (only because of driver issues - stupid Sis >:( ) and installed a minimal KDE using the following command:
Code: Select all
pacman -S kdebase kde-l10n-en_gb phonon-vlc

Thanks in advance ;)

I would recommend tweaking the configuration as needed, then placing the configuration files under /etc/skel/

Also, you may wish to try out Plasma Javascript scripting to configure the Plasma Desktop for first time use.
