Hello!
I got a somewhat weird problem. I added a "digital clock" widget to one of my desktops. For testing reasons I configured it to utter the time every 5 min. When I moved it on the desktop it suddenly disappeared (I swear, I just grabbed it an moved!). Since the I was not able to find it or deactivate it But it is still running: every 5 min I can hear the frog-like jovie voice ... ![]() Someone with an idea how to get rid of this invisible widget? And: why is there not such a thing as a "widget-explorer" for such situations?? Thanks for your help Jay |

does the hidden clock appear if you systemsettings -> workspace behavior -> virtual desktops -> uncheck -> different widgets for each desktop? of course now should have all the widgets on all the desktops
alternatively you could edit ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc but that might be a bit tricky to remove the applet and not break your desktop(s), it might be safer to just change announceInterval=nn to announceInterval=0 in the file (remember there will be at least 2 digital-clocks) |
