How to set the duration of the Urgent hint for Task Manager?

Sometimes windows are marked with Urgent hint in the task manager (when some activity happens in the program for example), which makes the entry in Task manager flash for a short time. However the flashing time is very short, and afterwards depending on the theme, highlighting of that entry can be not very obvious.

Is there a way to configure the duration of the flashing notification for the Urgent hint? I didn't manage to find it in the System Settings. May be somewhere in config files?

Thanks.

Unfortunately this is hard-coded, as a maximum of 6 pulses, with one pulse being made every 500 milliseconds. You'll have to patch the sources if you want to change this.

Thanks, I'll file a feature request to make it configurable then. I'm using Glassified theme, and had to switch Task Manager (aka "Task Items") subtheme to Air, because Air leaves a highlighted border around the entry with the Urgent hint, while Glassified only flashes it a few times, and doesn't add a border later (and different color of the urgent entry itself can blend with the background and it can become confusing).

Can you please direct me to the place where it's actually hardcoded? I didn't find these values in the task manager code:

The correct sources here are in plasma/desktop/applets/tasks/. In particular you need to change abstracttaskitem.cpp. The timer in question is "m_attentionTimerId".
