Keyboardless operation

Sat Feb 18, 2012 12:28 pm
Hi,

can KDE be used on a PC only with a touchscreen? I know there is kvkbd, but there doesn't seem to be a setting to embed kvkbd in the unlock screen like gnome-screensaver has? I tried the 'Tastatur' plasmoid on the unlock screen, but as soon as I touch the virtual keyboard the unlock dialog disappears (without unlocking the screen).

I'm using KDE 4.7.4 on Ubuntu.

Any help appreciated even if it is the definitive answer that it is not possible.

I would guess you'd want Plasma Active http://plasma-active.org/

there is a forum section dedicated to it viewforum.php?f=211 and a wiki http://community.kde.org/Plasma/Active

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x
