Plasma notification position reset.

Thu Mar 08, 2012 5:33 pm
After some playing around with plasma layout, I would like to reset my notification position to the default one. Which file should I alter, or remove, in order to achieve this?

just so I understand, you moved the pop-up of the system tray notifier and wish it to again pop-up above the tray icon?

- can't you just drag the pop-up when it's visible to where you wish it?
- if you remove and then add back the notifier does it reset?

it's in one of the plasma rc files, probably plasma-desktop-appletsrc either ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc or ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc)

probably this sectiion
[Containments][3][Applets][7][Configuration][Applets][41][Configuration]
AutoHidePopup=true
Share=false
ShowJobs=true
ShowNotifications=true
customPosition=251,-10
customPositionAffinityHoriz=r
customPositionAffinityVert=b

not sure how to set it to defaults, possibly remove the customPosition* lines? remember to backup the file before making any changes

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x

Huh.
All I needed was the removal and reintroduction of the tray... Never thought about it this way.

And, yes, I meant the popup of the notification plasmoid from systray. Thanks for guidance.
