Restore widgets

Wed Mar 14, 2012 11:48 am
I've switched to another Linux distro and I want my old widgets back! I've saved all of the content in the old home folder and I know that the settings for the widgets are in the plasma-desktop-appletsrc file. However, simply copying and pasting that file doesn't change much, is there some other way? Or do I have to do it all manually?

Thanks for any help =)

I'd do the following:

a) move your old ~.kde(4) folder to the new one
b) make sure all widgets are actually installed on the new system
