Hello, and thanks for a superb desktop!

Here is a small problem I noticed: Alt-F1 opens the kickoff menu, left and right arrow keys switch between the sections. The odd one is the "Applications" section. There, Up/Down arrow keys don't work (I'd expect them to move up/down), Enter doesn't work (I'd expect it to enter the selection). Is there a solution for it?

I noticed the same problem. I think it's just a missing feature: please check http://bugs.kde.org to see if it was already reported, and if not, please report it.

The cursor keys doesn't work while searching in the menu.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
1) Press ALT + F1
2) Type some thing. For example "cal"
3) Press the down or up cursor key

In 4.6 the cursor keys let to change betwen the diferent items. In 4.8 you must press CONTROL key to get the cursor working.

if you move the cursor to the search result listing (just move the mouse no need to click) the up & down work, I'm guessing since the cursor is in the search field it can't go up and down, just left and right
