i just got KDE running on my slackware install. is there a way to put files on the desktop like windows and OSX? ie, when i put something on the desktop, it moves the file to the desktop directory instead of just linking.


ive searched the web for a while to no avail. any help would be much appreciated.

1) add a folder view widget, documents would then reside in the widget which would be your folder of choice

2) change the desktop layout to folder view (or create and use a new activity of type folder view)
