For some reason, my panel moves before each login. I have it at the top of my screen, and when I log out and back in, the panel shifts down exactly the height of a panel. I have to then unlock my widgets, and using the screen edge panel setting move it back to the top. Is there a way to fix this?

distro and KDE version?
single monitor? did this always happen or only after an update? does it happen for a new user? is the cashew in the correct place or does that drop down also? if so I'd wonder about the display settings or drivers |

Arch Linux, everything up to date. Nope, just my laptop with no extra monitor plugged in. It started a couple of weeks ago, I just got annoyed enough with changing it back all the time that I thought I would post now. Can't remember if it was after an update or not.
I looked in my ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktoprc file and saw my two main panels (my top one and my bottom one) but I also notice a couple of other entries in there for plasma views, both using resolutions that I am not employing. I backed up this file and deleted the questionable lines, and I will restart later to test (I am encoding some audio files at the moment). |

fixed it, there were some odd setings under a [Horizontal] section in my plasma-desktoprc settings file. I removed those, logged out and back in and all is well.
