Hi,
I now have just one activity, but I would like to have a second activity (with some widgets in it) to be accessible through vnc. The VNC session should have it's own screen size, different from my 'real' session. Don't get me wrong, both activities are running from the same kde session. Is this possible, and how? |

You can have a second KDE session if you wish, however Activities operate in a different way.
I would recommend specifying a seperate KDEHOME (among others) before starting KDE by executing "startkde" as part of your VNC login script.

Ok, I followed your answer, but I don't know how to properly set all the variables. I created a copy of startkde, and modified kdehome. However, I get some errors:
Any ideas? |

Does the directory '/Bestanden/evert/' exist?
Also, is '/Bestanden/evert/.Xauthority' owned by the user which is running startkde? All the later errors stem from this problem.

Yes, it does exist, and .Xauthority is owned by the user (evert) which is running startkde. |

Can you try removing the .Xauthority file in case it is corrupted?

Erm, my .Xauthority is working well with just one session, so I don't see why I should remove it? PS: Sorry for the late answer, I was having exams. |

An examination of the log file indicates that you already had KDE running as the user you are trying to VNC in as. KDE does not support this as far as I know. As for the Xauthority file, I initially suspected that as it was the first referenced error.
