text-only task manager?

Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:24 am
hello all. i've recently started using KDE and enjoy the configurability very much. however i'm unable to find out if i can have items appear in the task manager widget in the panel without the icon, i.e., text only? is there a config file i could edit to achieve this? i'm running 4.8.3 on fedora.
thanks.

I believe that their might be a package you can install for this. I know that you can install new widgets.

As far as I am aware this particular part of the behaviour cannot be configured. However you can change the Task Manager which is used by Plasma. I would recommend checking in the Add Widgets area on your system first for alternative Task Managers. Finally, try searching on kde-apps.org.

i did search the widgets first, installed and online, and i googled for it. oh well hopefully someone might be able to resolve the dilemma whether it's even possible. no big deal, i'm enjoying KDE so far.

KDE's pretty good. Mine's just all glitches up. Will be happy after resetting my personal file.
