I have issues after a resinstall of desktop

i have a thing called home on top (hate it )

and you can close it with kubuntu sys manager
but i don't want it to load my second user (my wife)
cant get past it

Can you please provide a screenshot of the application in question?
It sounds like a startup application, which you should be able to disable in System Settings > Startup & Shutdown > Autostart.

Update I found that i have Plasma active contour installed?

so i removed plasma active and all things that contour search brought up .

then i renamed my kde fold of course the annoying tablet like splashy loads but now its real busted.



the options at my login screen are


plasma active contour
plasma active
kde/plasma
kde openbox
lxde


Right now the only things working after all the is mess is lxde menu with which i can run apper

and 90% of the kde apps

i can no longer get a screen shot

When trying to login to KDE, how does it fail?
I am slightly confused, is this a Desktop computer, or a Tablet?

well no this is a desktop

not only had i installed plasma-active i had also install some tablet app contour along with kubuntu net-book and kubuntu mobile.

apper did not remove all the components . I however loaded synaptic and was able to slim down to just kubuntu default desktop now everything is working great . I had to rebuild a few minor things like my desktop wallpaper and icons but that's no biggie

Good to hear it is fixed. Interesting to see that you had to remove packages to fix the problem though.
