Does anyone know how I can get my hands onto the rocketbar panel? It is the panel used in Mandriva and ROSA linux. I find it interesting, but would rather not have to change distros for a simple widget or panel.
Thanks. ps - if you aren't already aware, here is a pic of what I am talking about (although it does more): http://www.tuxmachines.org/images/rosa_menu.jpg |

the openSUSE build service has the source https://build.opensuse.org/package/file ... DE%3AExtra I'm sure it's hosted somewhere more official

Well, assuming I can figure out how to install the thing, that will do! Thanks. |

you can ask on the Kubuntu forum as someone might have created a package
I looked at the install instuctions in the source and it appears there's multiple applets, including a copy of smooth tasks

Thanks for the help. I did not realize that this would be so confusing lol, so I appreciate it. Running the script that you gave me successfully installed smooth tasks (which is named rosa tasks), but nothing else. I do not see an install file anywhere else. Is it possible that the rosa panel folder needs to be placed somewhere?

I couldn't get it to compile as it errored out
I tried installing the prebuilt package and I was told it needed 2 added packages: kde4-desktoptheme-ROSA is needed by plasmoid-ROSA-panel-0.9-92.2.x86_64 plasmoid-ROSA-launcher is needed by plasmoid-ROSA-panel-0.9-92.2.x86_64 so maybe you need to find and install these also, if you Google you'll find some instructions/packages like https://launchpad.net/mandriva-rosa/man ... driva-rosa |
