Hi, I've encountered a strange issue with the Icon-Only Task Manager that I haven't been able to find mentioned anywhere. The separator between icons that are launchers and icons that aren't launchers went from being thin lines to big blocks after a relog.
http://i.imgur.com/V74Yn.jpg image of the problem. It looks like the separator image is being stretched. I've checked all settings to try to fix the issue and have come up with nothing. It's not an important issue but it is distractingly ugly. Thanks. |

Can you reproduce this under a new user?

I'm afraid so. I've just realised that this is the KDE forums and not the Kubuntu forums so I probably should have mentioned that I'm using Kubuntu 12.04. KFaenza icon pack. Caledonia desktop theme. If that helps. Thanks. |

Does changing your workspace theme to another one such as Air have an impact? The icon set in use should not have an impact.

I did try that before and it didn't work. I've been using the regular task-manager widget and just added the icon-only widget to test changing themes. However, the icon-only widget seems to work fine again without having to change the theme. I did try removing the widget and re-adding it previously and it didn't work. Seems to be a strange one. |

If you hadn't been able to reproduce it under a new user I would have suspected the Plasma theme cache files (located at /var/tmp/kdecache-$USER/) to have caused this.
Very unusual issue. Good to see it is working as it is supposed to again though.

I see. It does seem to be working fine at the moment. Thanks for your help.
Just in case it helps, I did try it on a fresh install (Kubuntu 12.04.1), with separate /, /home and /swap partitions and along side a Windows 7 install. I installed updates, KFaenza icons, Caledonia theme and then added the Icon-Only task manager in that order and the display bug immediately appeared. I've tried all manner of changing settings, opening certain applications and so on to try to narrow down the cause but I've failed. I don't know if this is relevant but sometimes when I change font settings it causes something to break and my font rendering turns bad. The only thing that fixes it is deleting font config files. |

Interesting. This could possibly be a bug in the icons-only task manager applet. I have heard that both the traditional and icon-only task manager applets which KDE ships are going to be ported to QML soon - and that this should help fix some bugs regarding layouting.
