Hi,
I've got KDE installed on Arch and I'm having trouble with the Plasma widgets. In any other desktop layout than default, the widgets have 2 sidebars overlaying each other. Can anyone tell me how to solve this? Here's a screenshot: Thanks, Denis |

It looks like you have two applets which are closely overlaid by each other. Can you confirm that this is not the case? That it would only occur outside of the "Default" layout is quite puzzling (almost like you have two layouts running simultaneously - which should be impossible).

There is definitely only one. Also this happens with all widgets. Note: One bar doesn't have the resize and rotate icons in grid desktop mode. |

Does this behaviour occur under a new user?
Also, did you install any Plasma layouts from external sources?

Yes, this does happen with new users. No, i have no third party layouts installed. I will take a look in the config files. If i find nothing wrong should i try re-installing KDE? |

Try shutting down Plasma then removing its cached files (/var/tmp/kdecache-YOURUSERNAME/plasma*).
