It's just a default chrome type colour and stays that way irrespective of what lighter desktop theme you choose (Air, Thin Air, etc) (darker ones do go darker) but switch back to Air and it stays default chrome type colour. I've deleted lancelotrc but I think that's just resetting settings, it's not fixng the issue anyway. Where else do I need to look? I'm thinking some cache somewhere?

You know I get this on a new KDE install a lot, it usually reverts back and matches the Air transparency panel (and folder view box) after a while but I have no idea what fixes it or why it's doing it.

Thanks.

Solution arrived at via a response made by the creator of "Thin Air" on his kde-look page. Basically, turn your desktop effects off, log out, log back in, turn them on again. Had an error message turning them back on but when I clicked apply, it straightened things out and the menu and panel now match. Try a few times if need be, suck it and see, should work.

Not all plasma themes have the necessary files to talk to lancelot and get matching results, the above does, and of course "Air"
