I have a question for all KDE experts. I googled for it but could find no direct answer.

Is is possible in some way (even by editing text files) to tweak the sensitivity of the panel auto-hide function. I have a panel set to auto-hide, but it appears too easily when I move the mouse near the border of the screen. I have it on the left side, and since many applications have buttons or toolbars on the side, I often accidentally unhide the panel instead of performing the action I want to perform. I have to then wait for a few seconds for the panel to hide again, which is annoying.

In the Control Center (systemsettings) you can tweak the screen edge sensitivity, but this seems to apply only to window snapping and hot corners.

Does anyone have any information about this?

Not that I know of but would love to achieve the same, it's particularly annoying if you try to use a side panel. Near impossible to use a right side panel and have functioning browser scroll if you use a mouse.

I'd settle for a given spot to hit on the panel, like a small straight line centred on the inner edge of the panel (very edge of screen). You know the size of the panel you've created , so you know where the middle is. You could have that as an added on / off feature.
