Multi Monitor and hotkeys problem

Sun Feb 03, 2013 2:31 pm
I have on my pc three monitor with two ati video card and for use it all i use the proprietary driver (xinerama disabled because else the opengl not work).
The problem i have is that: i use custom hotkeys for start software configured in the systemsettings but now this not work.
This work only when my cursor is on the central monitor, when the cursor are in the other monitor not work (same problem for the krunner).
In systemsettings the only monitor found are the monitor on the left.
I have no idea for resolve this.
i use debian sid (aptosid) with kde 4.9.5 on the qt-kde repo.
When i was two monitor with one video card this problem not existed.

Are you using xrandr for handling the multiple monitors (the Catalyst drivers should now handle it)?

That output indicates your system has a single screen - are you using Xinerama or other similar monitor merging systems?

AMD's driver can use BigDesktop (which is similar to the Eyefinity setup on Windows), I am guessing this is the case.

I use bigdesktop because xinerama with proprietary driver not support opengl :-/

Can you compare the output of "echo $DISPLAY" on Konsole terminals which are on each screen?

Unfortunately in this instance you have a multi head setup, which is not supported by the global shortcuts system.
Please see http://community.kde.org/Plasma/Multihead for more information.
