Hi there,
in my transition from Kubuntu Precise to Kubuntu Quantal, my Appmenu ICON has reduced its size ( http://ge.tt/217dyYZ/v/0 ) . Is there any way to recover the previous dimensions ? Thanks a lot. |

Is this the "Application Launcher" (aka. Kickoff) or the "Classic Application Launcher" or is it an alternative menu?
You can find this out by right clicking on the icon and examining the menus for "Remove" or "Settings" options, which should have the applet type name beside it.

It is the 'Classic Application Launcher' with a custom png image.

To the best of my knowledge, this change was made intentionally to make it consistent with the sizes used by other applets, such as the application icons.

Well ... I can agree having all these icons equally sized seem more consistent. On the other hand, somebody could argue that having the 'Application Launcher' a more prominent icon might have some sense. I am not a usability expert ... and I have to accept whatever changes imposed from upstream ... but ...
... even on that case ... I wonder if there might be an 'acceptable' ( for non-developers ) way to modify the 'Application Launcher' size. Thank you. |

Once the move to QML is completed, then it could be possible to perform tweaks such as these without too much difficulty.
However the application launcher shipped with KDE 4.10 is C++ based at this time, so it requires compilation of code to make the changes you are after.
