Hi,
After upgrading from KDE 4.9 to KDE 4.10 on FreeBSD 9.1, it is not possible to add an activity anymore. When clicking on "Create" then "Empty desktop" nothing happens. The issue has been reported by other people on IRC but they could not find any workaround yet. |

Is Nepomuk running on your system, complete with "virtuoso-t" process?

No any of these, is it needed? |

In theory one does not need Nepomuk to run activities, however in practice this may have become the case as many developers who work on activities have Nepomuk enabled on their systems.
Try checking to see if "kactivitymanagerd" is running - if it is not then this is the real cause of you not being able to add an Activity. If it is running, can you then try temporarily enabling Nepomuk (no need for file or email indexing, and you can clear the index if you wish) does it then allow you to create an activity?
