Hey,
I added a shelf with favorite applications.

Now I added some more favorite apps in kmenu, but they don't show up in the shelf. I already tried deleting and recreating the shelf, but no change.

Any clues?

Shelf uses the same favs as Lancelot. Other menus (kickoff for example) have different favourites handling.

Simply because Shelf is a part of Lancelot.

And people desired having separate favourites for L and Kickoff.

This /might/ change with Plasma 2 / Lancelot 2 / Shelf 2, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

Well, but you can use it without using Lancelot?

Why would you want different sets of favorites? IMHO the idea in the KDE SC is too share similar things and NOT every program using there own sets...

Anyhow, of course Shelf is still a great widget! But I also have some other issue, if you might want to take a look:
Shelf closes to slow when launching Applications

Also after the last update I noticed that the mouse thingey (the icon which you can hover to launch instead of clicking), went from the left side to right side. Is this intended? Because I have my shelf in a vertical panel on the right and the flow this way is rather bad.

Shelf was always an experiment that does some things strangely and has some design limitations due to user's and my own wishes.

The strange but true fact is that everything you just mentioned was requested by someone at some point in time.

It is currently being redeveloped, and it should have most inconsistencies removed. (like the favourites, closing when something is selected, multiple view modes, and similar)

Well, I didn't requested so much, did I? ;)

Thats good news. Because AFAIK its only widget out there that provides such functionality.
So thanks again and keep up the good work!

I kinda stopped following requests for a while now - with the excuse of waiting for qt5/plasma2 :)
