Hi all,
Given this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=293453 ...I'm affected too, and when i start a game on a dual head configuration and it turns off the left head, all of the kde panels are moved to the right one. The problem is that when the game exits and the left head is activated again, the panels stays on the right head. So i made two scripts, the first that backup the relevant desktop configuration file, the second that restores them. So i do something like this: 1-backup configuration 2-start the game and play 3-exit the game 4-quit plasma desktop 5-restore the configuration 6-start plasma desktop ...and everything works as expected, my panels are restored. But the delay between 4 and 6 is too long for my taste. Is there a way to tell plasma to reload the configuration without quitting and restarting it? thanks. |

As far as I am aware, Plasma Desktop does not support reloading it's configuration, as the configuration is not supposed to be changed externally once it is started. Quitting and restarting the process is the only method possible here i'm afraid.
