Hi,

this is the third time this year that a sticky note vanishes from my desktop. It is still there in .kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc and its coordination should be in the middle of the screen (geometry=107,24,385,849).

Besides having plugged in a second screen once, I have a one-screen setup and I am just using KDE rather passively (not changing much; just upgrades here and there).

I am currently running KDE 4.10.2 but the problem occurred first with 4.8.something.

I tried changing the "translucent" in some other colours like "blue" or "yellow" but that did not help.

Any Idea how I can get that note back?

Can you check to see if it has somehow been reassigned to a invalid containment, or a containment which belongs to another activity?
Also, if you add a new Sticky Note, can you compare the configuration of it to the configuration of your original sticky note applet?
