Please help, I messed up my desktop and don't know how to get it back.
All my icons and system tray are aligned left, and launched applications don't show in bottom panel so I am unable to switch between them. I tried more settings -> align right, but it is not working. Thanks in advance. |

You probably removed the taskbar, you can add it back again like this. The standard widget is called "Task Manager".

Thanks for answer. I did, but in my desperation (because things were getting more messy by the second) I added a default panel and deleted first. Now I have another problem: this default panel is on top and I don't know how to get it to the bottom, can you help with that? |

You can do this by opening the panel controller (by clicking on the panel cashew) and then dragging the controller around the screen to the bottom of the display. The panel cashew is only visible when widgets are unlocked, and can usually be found on the left side of the screen.

Hi Mr. Cooksley, Thanks for answer. Actually I had already found a solution and was getting ready to post it when I found your post, apparently work still needs to be done on notifications for this forum. This is what I did: alternate click on panel -> Panel Options -> Panel Settings -> Screen Edge and then drag to desired location. |
