Is it possible to shrink the menu widget (the one present by default in many if not most distros with KDE)? I'm thinking of less height, to suit my netbook, in the same way that Windows 7 and Vista allow less height by removing some items from their menu, either the fixed portion like 'Control Panel' or the actual menu items.
For example if it was six 'Favorites' or six scrollable application categories high instead of eight it would suit a netbook better. Thanks. [KDE 4.10.5, 64 bit Linux Mint] |

why not switch to the Application Launcher Style by right clicking the menu widget? you could then stretch/compress the window by grabbing the upper right corned and dragging it

Great, thanks. This is the menu I meant I was using and I'm pleased to see it's even easier to shrink than Windows' one.
