On Ask Ubuntu, I once asked the question as to whether it is possible for Krunner to search before 3 characters are entered in the search box. The answer seems to be that the source code should be changed. (Link to question http://askubuntu.com/questions/177847/k ... arch-field)
If true, could you help me out finding how to edit the source code of Krunner so it will search as soon as one character has been entered in the search box? Thanks. |

This will require manual compilation and installation of kde-workspace. The source code of KRunner can be found in the krunner/ folder of the kde-workspace repository. It can be cloned from git://anongit.kde.org/kde-workspace

This actually has already been changed in git:
https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/k ... 0c975661dd But apparently this commit has been forgotten to be backported to 4.11... (the openSUSE packages contain it though since 2 days ) |

The patch has now been backported, see http://commits.kde.org/kde-workspace/a8 ... 75b92e2da6
