I used to have KDE 4.8.5 on my Kubuntu 12.04.
For a reasons I did an upgrade (ppa/backports + dist-upgrade). Everything went fine except: The daisy-Widget that I had installed broke. I have moved my lower panel to the top and the Daisy application launcher lied on the bottom of the screen. I cannot recall exactly how I installed the widget. After the upgrade I only have the following error-message: "This object could not be created for the following reason: Could not find requested component:plasma_applet_daisy". Then I made something that could have been a wrong thing to do: I removed the softwre package through the muon package manager. The error did not disappear but I cannot see the Widget in the "Add Widgets" ribbon any more. (I think it was there before removing the package - Maybe I should have removed it from use through this wizard first). Now, How can I get rid of the error ? I am planning to compile the widget from source and re-install it (I like it very much) but I believe I should fix the error condition first. Please, advice. |

you probably got it here http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/?content=102077 if it's not in you distro's repos
could be that the version you have is not compatible with 4.11.3 (or whatever you upgraded to) and you just need to install a version compatible to what you're running now |
