Hi all,
seems with recent Klipper versions there's some bug in klipper configuration, it's not possible to assign a shortcut to clear clipboard history. Is this expected? ![]() This is with klipper 0.9.7 and probably also newer versions. Also in global shortcuts in systemsettings under klipper sadly there's no option to configure a shortcut to clear clipboard ![]() |

You can file a bug againt klipper - the shortcut does not even appear in "kcmshell4 keys", so sth. seems indeed fishy here.
As a workaround you can bind a global shortcut ("kcmshell4 khotkeys") to klippers dbus interface (org.kde.klipper; /klipper; clearClipboardHistory;; - see "qdbus org.kde.klipper /klipper" for the complete interface) |

Yep, that's what I meant. FWIW, here's the link: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329735 Also
when run via terminal works just as expected. |

Notice that the global shortcut system does NOT link to this dbus interface - whether the shortcuts have been removed deliberately thus remains uncertain. (It's not a GUI thing - the shortcut is not registered, otherwise kglobalaccel would either display it correctly or all global shortcuts would be broken the same way)
