I am running a dual monitor setup with a separate X-session on each monitor. I have the latest nvidia driver installed and that is working correctly (separate x screens). I have 4 workspaces per display (4 for the main monitor and 4 for the secondary monitor).
If I go into the Workspace Behavior > Virtual Desktops and select the Switching tab, I can setup key strokes that will allow me to switch the desktop to the left or right. When I do this, it will switch the workspaces for both x-sessions (rotating both cubes at once) either right or left. I was wondering if anybody has found a way to decouple the workspaces so that they can be rotated independantly, using either key-strokes or mouse control. I have noticed that this can be accomplished with the mouse actions for the Desktop Settings, but the mouse pointer must be on the desktop (to be rotated) before the scroll wheel will rotate the workspace. |

is this actually a zaphod mode (ie. no xinerama and two instances of a "kwin" process)?
there's a general issue with kglobalacceld (global shortcut process) and the zaphod mode - mainly because there can be only one kglobalacceld instance. I'm not sure whether or why it would trigger on both screens, but the alternative was either complete unpredictable behavior or adding some smartness to kwin to only change the VD for the screen with the mousepointer on it. zaphod mode issues: https://bugs.kde.org/buglist.cgi?produc ... _id=908041 |
