Hi all,
I use Kubuntu and I have accidentally shared a widget on the network. I want this thing undone, since all users on the network constantly get notified about this whenever I log in. However, I CANNOT find any more the widget I shared, so that I turn this setting off (in widget Settings/Share/Share this widget on the network). I guess I need to do it forcefully, through some central system settings, or config file. Also, I see the widget is shared in Dolphin network:/{HOST-NAME}.local/, but I cannot remove it from there. Does anybody know how to do this? Thanks in advance. |

Are you aware of which widget you shared accidentally?
Failing everything, as a last ditch attempt to correct this you can remove the Plasma configuration files. Please be aware that this will result in your Plasma Desktop being reset back to defaults however - so you will need to fully reconfigure it.

Thanks for you reply.
I don't know what widget that is. It is some Panel, but I don't know which one. I can't find it any more. If I have to remove Plasma config file, could you please tell me which exact files those are. I'm a Linux novice, so I need a detailed instruction. Cheers! |

Why does the "share in network" feature even exist in the released UI? Does it actually work for any existing widget?
I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

Unfortunately, the user interface for enabling the sharing of a widget does exist in released code. I'm not sure if it has been disabled in the very latest code or not though.
